Baptism is the first step of obedience a Christian should take after they trust Jesus Christ as their Savior. Baptism does not make a person a Christian, or "wash their sins away," - but it is a public profession of a person's faith and says to the church, and the rest of the world, "I have decided to follow Jesus." Maybe you have trusted Jesus as your Savior, but have never been baptized. At Halesford, we would be honored to baptize you and help you become the best follower of Jesus you possibly can. Just see any of our pastors at the end of a service (during our invitation), or anytime thereafter, and we can plan a time to celebrate your faith decision to be baptized. If you would like to be baptized, but don't fully understand what it means to make a decision for Jesus Christ - we can help you with that as well.
